Accurate and precise measurements
The BLOW paint thickness gauge is suitable for use on steel and aluminum. Thanks to a modern probe, the device performs very precise measurements over a wide range of 0-2,000um.
Wide range of applications
The paint meter is not only used in the automotive industry, but also in metal processing. We also use it in the chemical industry, car washes and laboratories. Therefore, our product is ideal for professional and domestic use. It´s easy to use.
Calibration plates included
When you purchase our meter, you receive GARTIS in the form of calibration plates that will allow you to calibrate the meter. You don´t need to take the meter to a service center you can calibrate it at home!
Ready to go
The blow meter is calibrated before shipping and is ready for immediate operation!
Safe and non-invasive
Our product does not damage measured surfaces and is safe for them. The integrated probe non-invasively examines the ink.
How to use the device?
Prepare the substrate for testing.
Keep your device at least 2 cm away from metal objects and press the power button to turn it on. Note: It is recommended to calibrate the device to zero before taking measurements.
The probe is placed vertically and quickly on the surface to be measured and the measured value is displayed on the screen, then lift the probe at least 2 cm from the surface to be measured for another measurement.
Note: If the automatic power-off function is activated and no operations are performed within 3 minutes, the device will turn off automatically.
How to calibrate?
Basic calibration:
Basic calibration should be performed upon first use, for a long period of non-use, or when replacing the tested substrate material. In basic calibration, there are 7 calibration points and the unit is mm...
Prepare 6 pieces of standard sheet, whose thickness is 0.04~0.06mm, 0.09~0.11mm, 0.22-0.28mm, 0.45-0.55mm, 1.90~1, 05mm, 1.90~2.00mm.
Hold the UP key and then ON, after hearing the sound, the LCD will show 00mm, the lower right corner of the display will show CAL, "Release the UP key indicating that the calibration series has been entered.
Lightly press the probe on the uncoated aluminum base, at this time the LCD will display 0.00, then you will hear a sound.
Leave the device aside, the display will show the number 0.05 mm. Perform a second calibration and gently press the probe against the aluminum base on which the calibration sheet is placed. After setting the value displayed on the display, the next point was calibrated. Repeat the operation for all sheet thicknesses.
Zero calibration:
For accurate results, calibrate your device to zero.
Prepare a bare surface for testing.
Hold the right button while turning on the device until reset calibration (ZERO) appears on the screen.
Place the probe vertically on the bare substrate surface until 0 is displayed. Then lift the probe at least 2 cm off the ground.
Up to 3 probe modes
In automatic mode (AUTO), the device automatically selects the appropriate substrate.
In magnetic induction (F) mode, the device measures using magnetic induction.
In eddy current mode (NFE), the device measures using eddy currents. At this point, it is suitable for measuring non-ferromagnetic metal substrates.
Measurement statistics
The device has an integrated measurement memory that can be deleted! Ability to toggle displayed statistics such as average, minimum, maximum, number. Up to 3 measurement units to choose from: micrometers, millimeters and mils.
