Specially developed by Sony, the new Integrated Processor V1 unlocks the full potential of our HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1. This unique combination of technologies controls eight microphones to deliver unprecedented noise cancellation quality. The new precision-engineered 30mm driver unit with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) surround optimises noise cancellation, especially in the low-frequency range, helping you enjoy your music clearly without ambient noise. The lightweight and rigid driver unit improves sound clarity and bass reproduction.

The precision-engineered lightweight and rigid diaphragm unit enhances high-frequency sensitivity for more natural sound quality. Exclusive Sony technologies include premium lead-free solder containing gold for excellent conductivity, optimised audio resistance for even power distribution and optimised circuitry for improved signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring clear, consistent sound. These Sony Noise Cancelling headphones support High-Resolution Audio and High-Resolution Audio Wireless, thanks to LDAC, our industry-leading audio coding technology. LDAC transmits approximately three times more data than conventional Bluetooth® audio, for exceptional High-Resolution Audio quality. Our Precise Voice Pickup technology uses four beamforming microphones and an AI-based noise reduction algorithm to precisely isolate your voice. A newly developed wind noise reduction structure minimises wind noise during calls. When you’re wearing your wireless headphones with mic, you’ll hear and be heard clearly.

Smart, intuitive and accurate
Adaptive Sound Control is a smart feature that detects where you are and what you’re doing, then adjusts ambient sound settings to give you the ideal listening experience. When activated, it learns your behaviour, recognises the places you visit most often, such as your workplace or favourite café, and tailors the sound to suit the situation. As soon as you start a conversation, Speak-to-Chat automatically pauses your music and lets in ambient sound – useful if you want to keep your headphones on or talk hands-free. This clever feature uses the built-in microphones in your Sony headphones and advanced audio signal processing to recognise and react to your voice. As soon as the conversation ends, your music automatically resumes. Simply take off the headphones and the music stops – a capacitive sensor knows when you’re wearing them. It also helps improve the design and accuracy of the detection. Simply put your over-ear headphones back on and your music starts playing again.

Seamless connectivity
For ultimate convenience, these Bluetooth® headphones can be paired with two Bluetooth® devices at the same time. So when you get a call, your headphones know which device is ringing and automatically connect to the right one. You can also quickly switch your headphones to either device with the press of a button. The WH-1000XM5 support Google’s handy new feature, Fast Pair. It lets you easily locate where you left your headphones with a beep, or check their last known location in the Google Find My Device app on your smartphone. Swift Pair makes it quick and easy to pair your Sony wireless headphones with your Windows 10 or 11 laptop, PC or tablet. When pairing mode is selected, a pairing assistance window will appear on nearby Windows 10 or 11 devices.

Long battery life and foldable case
With a massive 30 hours of battery life*, you’ll have plenty of power even for long journeys. If you need a quick recharge, you can get 3 hours of charge in just 3 minutes with an optional USB-PD compatible AC adapter**. Easily carry your Sony Bluetooth® headphones in their matching soft case. Remove them and the foldable case can be 40% slimmer, so you can easily store them in a bag.
